Shza Zaki

Graduate Assistant

Shza Zaki is a Graduate Assistant at NYU’s Peace Research and Education Program (PREP). She is pursuing an MS in Global Affairs, with a concentration in Transnational Security and a Data Analytics specialization. At PREP, she works on the Piloting a Global Learning Network for Peacebuilding in Iraq project, supported by the UN Development Program (UNDP), which aims to assist Iraqi universities in enhancing their Peace Studies programs. 

Before studying at NYU, she graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies with a concentration in International Relations from the City College of New York (CCNY). Her interest in international relations stemmed from her experience serving as a Marketing Director for SheFFA, a non-profit human rights organization focused on empowering women and eradicating the practice of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Throughout her academic journey, she organized and participated in Model United Nations Conferences as a Chairperson and a Delegate and competed at Mock Trial Tournaments as an attorney. She also became the elected Undergraduate Student Government President at CCNY. Upon graduating, she completed a program with Harvard Business School to expand her knowledge in financial accounting, business analytics, and economics, further advancing her understanding of finance and business management.
