Analyst and Program Officer, Peace Policy

RESEARCH & FOCUS AREAS: Support research to strengthen evidence-based approaches to preventing violence and peacebuilding.

BACKGROUND:

Marta brings almost a decade of experience working in organizations working on human rights and peacebuilding. Organizations include Geneva for Human Rights – Global Training, Amnesty International, the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, NYU Peace Research and Education Program, International Peace Institute, and the Center on International Cooperation, where she worked with the Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies as well as the Prevention and Peacebuilding team.

Her work spans project management, advocacy, and policy research. Her research has focused on violence and conflict prevention, national prevention strategies, the Women, Peace and Security agenda, and private military and security companies. She has conducted participatory field research and policy research to inform policy in the Americas.
