Hussein Ibrahim

Researcher

Hussein Ibrahim is a researcher at the NYU Peace Research and Education Program (PREP). He provides advice, consultations including survey design, preparation and provision of reports, and research. He developed PREP’s online modules on core peacebuilding topics into the Arabic language intended for use by undergraduate students at the University of Anbar in Ramadi, Iraq. 

Previously, Previously, Hussein was a project officer and a researcher at the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies (CPCS) at Seton Hall University. In his role as a project officer, he managed and coordinated CPCS's projects in Yemen, Libya, and Lebanon.

Hussein is a Country Director at Ideas Beyond Borders (IBB). He manages IBB's programs and projects in Iraq, particularly with Iraqi Universities and Youth-led local organizations. He focuses on peacebuilding and youth empowerment programs.

Hussein holds a Bachelor degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Duhok, Iraq, and M.S. in Global Affairs from New York University.
