On 14th March, NYU PREP and NALAFEM gathered for “Young Women Mobilizing for Peace: A Night of Solidarity with Sudan” — a powerful moment of sisterhood, resistance, and collective action.

The event convened over 60 participants (both in-person and virtual) from 15 countries to reflect, connect, and reaffirm our shared commitment to feminist peace and justice across Africa. Together, the community echoed the call forcross-border solidarity for Sudan and strengthened the feminist movements that center the leadership of young women peacebuilders.

The side event spotlighted the transformative power of intergenerational co-leadership in peace building. They discussed:

• The role of young women in peacebuilding and governance

• First-hand experiences from Sudanese young feminist leaders

• The impact of the I AM NALA Fellowship in shaping the next generation of leaders

  The fight for peace, justice, and women’s leadership in Sudan continues — louder, stronger, together.
